The Indian County property appraiser's office is responsible for the continuous appraisal of property values due to current market conditions on new properties, single homes and is also responsible for property appraisals on up to 10 unit multi family apartment buildings. The Indian River County Appraisers office is also responsible for town home developments and condominiums as well as all mobile homes. They also do property appraisals on vacant residential lands.

Every effort is made to insure that property appraisals are accurate in their individual value appraisal amounts. It is the property owner's responsibility to check the property records data to make sure that their property records are accurate and up to date.

The Indian River County appraisers office is also responsible for an annual reassessment of all properties in Indian River County according to the current market value of said property and within the current market conditions. Every five years the Indian River County Appraisers office can do an on sight inspection of properties to ensure the property has been accurately appraised at the current market value.

On site appraisals can be done on any new additions to existing properties or for any property that has had some demolition done to it. Property owners can also request on site appraisals of their property if they think their property appraisal is to high or to low for the current market value. If you do not agree with the Indian River County's appraisal value for your property, you can file an appeal in which you'll have to prove your property has an incorrect value then the Indian River County Property Appraiser has given it.
